Until recently, I’ve been living with my parents – helping them when they needed it. But now it’s time to move on: I’ve moved in with my fiancé and am slowing transferring my books from their house to his. This week was very productive in working out some details in how my sister and I will keep my parents safe and happy now that they are living alone. It was a good week for getting stuff done. It was also a good week for my step-children-to-be, who have been in Disney World for the week – though my heart goes out to their mom who must be exhausted!
This week I completed:
I acquired no new books.
I am currently reading:
I’m about 500 pages into the Storm of Swords tome, and will probably take another palate-cleansing break at about page 750. I just started No One Cares About Crazy People as my general nonfiction and Freeing Your Child From Anxiety as my adulting book. I also just started listening to The Shadow Land for my real-life book club, and am studying Don Quixote in my Well Educated Mind project.
This update is posted in the Sunday Salon and Caffeinated Reviewer’s Sunday Post.
Are you trying to become pregnant?! That’s so exciting, if so!

I’m reading Don Quixote too with a readalong group on Facebook. If you want to join us, the name of the group is Tilting at Windmills. I could invite you. Just drop me an e-mail…if not, no problem. I still will be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Oh, really? Is it a long-term read? It’ll probably take me a few months to finish Don Quixote. But I’ll send you an email and join! Would be fun!

The group is going until March 17, about 200 pages per week, I think. I’ll invite you to the group; you can join and see the reading schedule in the pinned post at the top. In your e-mail, if you just let me know how I can find you on Facebook, I can invite you to the group.

Aw cute pics. 🙂 And Storm of swords- yes that book is huge! Breaks are definitely a good thing! 🙂 Hope you’re enjoying it, it’s probably my favorite of the series, or close.

I AM enjoying it. Long books are just difficult for me and George R. R. Martin’s writing can be so intense that I need to clear my mind with something fluffy every once in a while. I won’t say which is my favorite yet, until I’ve finished reading the ones that are published. 🙂

I wouldn’t know how I’d take all my books with me if I moved house! I would need so many boxes or suitcases! I hope the move goes well and you have some great books you’re reading at the moment! 🙂

I had to get rid of a bunch, but mostly I’m moving them by putting them in paper bags and overloading my car. It takes a lot of trips.

Hope the transition goes well for you and I can understand moving books, I still have boxes at my aunt’s house to get back. Have a great week!

Yup! Except that if my parents move in a few months as I hope, I will not be able to store books there anymore.

Killers of the Flower Moon is one of my favorite non-fiction reads! David Grann is an amazing author, if you haven’t already read his other books 🙂 Hope you have a great week!

I have NOT read any of his other books, though there was a lot of discussion comparing this book to Lost City of Z at our book club this Sunday. I want to read Z, though who knows when I’ll find the time. So many books, so little time.
